FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The countdown to kickoff can't come soon enough for the Fresno State football team. The 'Dogs will hold an open practice Thursday, Aug. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. It will be the only chance fans get to catch the 'Dogs up close and personal before the season opener at home on Thursday, Sept. 3, against Abilene Christian.

On the diamond, the Fresno Grizzlies and Visalia Rawhide both pick up wins in their respective games. Fresno defeats Albuquerque 8-2 and the Rawhide pick up a 6-0 win on the road in San Jose.
