Community holds BBQ to raise money for sports uniforms

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Sanger community came out on Thursday to support Centerville Elementary's sports program.
The school hosted a barbeque dinner fundraiser to raise money for new sports uniforms and equipment. Centerville offers seven different sports for students -- free of cost. They are in the process of ordering new uniforms for next school year, but needed help covering the cost.
On Thursday, the community came out to support the program and enjoy a meal donated from Smokin' and Pokin' Barbeque Company as well as free ice cream. The event raised more than $2,400 for the sports program.
