Fresno State begins final preparations for Hawaii Bowl
Chris Alvarez reports from Hawaii

As we creep closer and closer to kickoff of the Hawaii Bowl between Fresno State and Houston the intensity and focus of both teams will start to dial in.

Fresno State arrived in Hawaii on Tuesday and the goal of the trip early in the week was to balance football and fun.

The Houston Cougars are also enjoying the Hawaiian culture.

Defensive back, Garrett Davis Cougars said, "I did not think I was going to dance. Normally they prepare me for the dancing and all that stuff and this time I was completely off-guard and I didn't want to do it (laughs)."

Make no mistake the goal is to win the game. But the memories of the week from waterparks to luaus will last a lifetime.

Bulldogs quarterback, Marcus McMaryion said, "At the end of the day, like everyone says we aren't going to remember every play and every touchdown. To tell you 98% will remember coach Tedford getting up there on that stage and dancing so it's definitely a great experience."

It's been a week of fun in the sun for both teams and now the business part of the trip comes into play when the Dogs and Cougars take the field in the Hawaii Bowl.
