Good Sports: Carr brothers team up with Valley Children's Hospital
Leading a team on the field is one thing, but the Carr brothers are showing the true spirit of sports by being a role model in the community as well.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Leading a team on the field is one thing, but the Carr brothers are showing the true spirit of sports by being a role model in the community as well.

Like other professional athletes in different sports born or raised in the Central Valley,

brothers David and Derek Carr spend a lot of their free time in the off season -- back home in the 559.

It's one thing to talk or tweet a big game about giving back to the community, but these two members of Fresno State Football royalty put their actions behind their larger-than-life personas. So it should come as no surprise the Carr brothers have teamed up with Valley Children's Hospital, putting on display their trademark faith and dedication to serving their community.

The Carr's are about more than throwing touchdown passes and winning games. They're about standing strong and healing, as Derek Carr's family showed during son Dallas' infancy.

And alongside George the Giraffe, the Carr Brothers will be hoping for the same result for so many more local families.
