Henson hits 3 with 0.2 left; Utah St. beats Fresno St. 65-62

FRESNO, Calif. -- Redshirt freshman Daron Henson scored a season-high 18 points, including an NBA-range 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds to play, and Utah State beat Fresno State 65-62 on Saturday night.

Henson finished 6-of-7 shooting, all from 3-point range. Dwayne Brown Jr. had 13 points and Sam Merrill scored 11 for Utah State (12-11, 5-5 Mountain West). Koby McEwen added nine points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

Fresno State's Terrell Carter II made a layup with 4:48 to play and McEwen answered with a 3-pointer that gave the Aggies a 62-59 lead 41 seconds later. Neither team scored, combining for 0-of-6 shooting and four turnovers, until Ray Bowles Jr. hit a 3 with 46 seconds left to make it 62-all. McEwen missed a jumper, but Utah State's Quinn Taylor tied up the rebound and possession went to the Aggies. After a timeout, McEwen found Henson for the winner.

Deshon Taylor had 15 points, Bryson Williams scored 13 and Bowles had 12 for Fresno State (15-7, 5-4 Mountain West). Jaron Hopkins added 11 points and a career-high tying 11 rebounds.

Utah State hit a season-high 13 3s on 27 attempts, committed just seven turnovers and scored 18 points off 15 Bulldogs turnovers.
