Bulldog fans have been getting pumped up for this game all day Saturday, and everyone Action News spoke with had one thing in common - they say they'll be here rain or shine.

"It's bad, it's burning," Fresno State Alum Taylor McAdams said of the heat. "We've been dumping water on our heads since we got here."

Fresno State alumni were back to their stomping grounds, braving the heat to support the Bulldogs at their first home game.

"We have canopies up, little portable fans and misters, and you know what? Rain or shine we're going to be out here supporting the 'Dogs," Michael Melkonian said.

But triple digit temperatures couldn't keep them away for the start of the season, Bulldog fans say there's a lot to look forward to this year.

"I'm so excited for this year, we got Tedford as a brand new coach," Taylor McAdams said. "It's a fresh start, we got a veteran quarterback, everything about it, we're excited."

Beer sales are also back at the stadium for the first time in over 10 years.

"Alcohol sales are a good thing," Melkonian argued. "Not only does it add a little more excitement to the game day environment but also a good revenue for the school."

With the beer gardens back in business and a brand new coach, Fresno State fans say they're excited to see what this season has in store for them.

"We're going to watch the 'Dogs if it's 10 degrees or 110," student Alexa Hammerschmidt said. "We're going to be here watching the 'Dogs."

Fresno State has two cooling centers set up at the stadium with canopies and misters, and Pardinis is here with over 20,000 water bottles for sale all in hopes to keep these football fans safe in this heat.
