Utah State beats Fresno St. 78-65, halts 4-game losing skid

LOGAN, Utah -- Koby McEwen had 22 points as Utah State rolled over Fresno State 78-65 on Saturday night to halt a four-game losing skid.

Jalen Moore scored 17 points, giving him 33 straight games in double-figure scoring. Norbert Janicek and Shane Rector chipped in 14 apiece for Utah State (9-11, 3-6 Mountain West).

The Aggies took a 27-23 lead into the break. They never trailed in the second half. The Bulldogs closed to 37-36 at the 14:20 mark following a Deshon Taylor 3-pointer. Utah State responded with a 13-4 run to go up 50-40 with 9:07 left and pushed that to 58-44.

The Aggies shot 56 percent from the floor while limiting Fresno State to 21-of-60 (35 percent) shooting.

Taylor finished with 21 points and Bryson Williams added 18 for the Bulldogs (13-8, 5-4) who saw their three-game win streak halted.
