Fresno issues $174,400 fine on Summerset Apartment owner

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The city of Fresno rejected an appeal Monday from the owner of the Summerset Apartment complex to waive his fines, the city said in a press release.

Hearing officer Michael Flores ruled against apartment owner Chris Henry and issued a minimum $174,400 fine for code violations that left apartment residents without gas for weeks last winter. Henry may also be forced to pay for all other costs incurred by the city which would add an additional $30,000 to the fine.
