Fresno Ideaworks holds robot competition in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Tough contenders of all shapes and sizes battled it out in a sumo ring today.

The competitors? These robots made by local kids and adults.

Ten machines battled it out for king of the "Bots on Broadway." A champion and vice champion were crowned, along with awards for the best team, aesthetics and creativity.

The mini sumo robot competition was created to get people involved in robotics.
