VIDEO: New app may prevent dangerous crashes

LOS ANGELES -- A new mobile app called Bikeshield can sense when two activated phones are near each other, and it's a way to help people avoid hitting motorcycle riders and cyclists.

The app was developed by Pere Margalef. He wants to work with local governments so that bus drivers and city employees will use the app as a way to avoid dangerous collisions.
