FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Highway 140 near the entrance to Yosemite National Park is closed because of a mudslide Tuesday night in El Portal.

Yosemite officials say heavy rains in an area burned last summer brought mud and water across the highway. Three cars were trapped in the mud, but no one was injured.

Crews are still trying to get the road cleared. Drivers are being asked to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
