Multiple car crash on HWY 180 amid blowing dust
Low visibility along parts of Highway 180 caused a seven car pileup Tuesday afternoon.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Strong, gusty winds created some problems for drivers across the Valley. The wind caused a seven car pileup along Highway 180 between Kerman and Mendota in Fresno County.

Two separate collisions happened Tuesday afternoon -- shutting down a section of the highway and causing delays. CHP officers say all the dust and wind diminished visibility to just 10 feet at times.

The people involved in the pileup only had minor injuries. But CHP officers say they fear this could happen any time it gets windy in this area.
