Two people hospitalized after a vehicle rolled over in Auberry

AUBERRY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Highway patrol officers say a female and male were the only two people in the car when the accident happened.

The male was life flighted to Community Regional Medical with major injuries and the female was transported in an ambulance to the same hospital with moderate injuries.

Officials say the car caught on fire and burned up during the accident.

A witness to the accident pulled both people out of the car but left the scene shortly after.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
