Visalia man shoots car burglar in his driveway, police say

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police say 37-year-old Nicholas Wilkerson was in the process of burglarizing a car parked in a driveway when he was confronted by the homeowner who was armed with a gun.

The confrontation escalated and the homeowner fired his gun, striking Wilkerson, according to police.

Wilkerson was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
