City of Merced opens pools for summer

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- To help beat the heat, Merced is opening its city pools.

McNamara pool at 1040 Canal St. is open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday in June and July. The cost of swimming is $1 for youths under the age of 18 and $2 for adults.

The pool at Merced High School, located at 205 W. Olive Ave., is open from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday for adult lap swimming. There is no cost to swim at this pool.
