Woman arrested in Central Fresno for hitting bicyclist while driving under the influence

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is in police custody after crashing into a bicyclist in Central Fresno. It happened just after midnight on Poplar and Hedges.

Police said the victim was going through recycling bins when the driver ran into the victim. Officers arrived to find the victim on the ground. Thankfully, they said he is going to be ok.

The driver did stay on the scene after the accident and was arrested for driving under the influence.
