Local riders and businesses are taking action to collect gifts for Toys for Tots at the Cal-Central Bike Soundoff on Saturday.

Stereo soundoff events are well-known on the East Coast, but Fran Guizar is hoping to see more of them in the Valley.
"Expect a lot of loud music," he explained. "The rounds go for 90 seconds, so you have 90 seconds to play whatever you want, but you have to hit the criteria you're being judged on."
However, it's not just a competition to see who has the best stereo system in Central California. The bass will be bumpin' for a cause near and dear to Guizar's heart.
"I was that kid receiving that toy from somebody. I feel I need to give back in one way or another to somebody," Guizar said. "If I can help somebody, I'm going to help somebody."
Every participant in the soundoff competition must bring a toy for their entry fee. It will then be donated to Toys for Tots, which gives out thousands of presents to children in the Valley.

Even if you come by to enjoy the soundoff, food and raffle prizes - you're still welcome to donate.
"You're doing something for somebody, and you're not expecting something in return," Guizar said.
The holiday fundraiser is happening at Clawson Motorsports in north Fresno.
The general manager said it was an easy 'yes' to participate in the event because he has also benefitted from fundraisers like Toys For Tots.
"Having grown up in a household that didn't have a lot of money in our home, I remember going to different places, getting that free toy and how much that meant to me, and now being a conduit to allow other kids to receive that same blessing, I'm in," said Mike Stovall

The two plan to work together to make the soundoff event an annual fundraiser for Toys for Tots.
If you are interested in competing or sponsoring, there's still availability.
The event is happening at noon on Saturday.
