Authorities say the crash happened just after 6 am on Belmont near Palm.
Police say the woman was pushing a shopping cart when she was hit.
Officers arrived to find her lying in the roadway, with a damaged car parked beside her.
She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
Police say the driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The woman has not been identified.
