Car crash takes out power to 3,000 people in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- PG&E crews are working to restore power after a car hit a pole in Central Fresno overnight. It happened shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Monday.

Fresno police said a white Chrysler hit a pole, which initially knocked out power to 3,000 in the area.

At the time of this report, only about 350 people are still without electricity. It is not expected to be restored until about one Monday afternoon.

It is not known at this time why the driver hit the pole.
