"Please, don't take any bit of it serious," Carr said. "It's all a joke. It's all to make the people of the Central Valley laugh and put a smile on their face."

People are smiling, but more importantly, they're downloading the just-released video. Of course, the entire campaign with Derek and his brother David is actually an ad for the Educational Employees Credit Union.
"After we launched something like this, I was just looking on our page and we had something like 700 comments," marketing director Jim Lowe said.
Lowe says EECU couldn't be happier with all the attention they've received from the ad campaign that stars the two former Bulldog quarterbacks.
It all started with a non-descript billboard that hinted something was coming.
"You realize we live in a Valley with about two million, the spill out from that was over 73 million impressions," Lowe explained. "It truly had a viral effect."
And that means big business for EECU. It's still too early to tell how much attention this latest video will garner digitally but the early signs point toward big success for everyone involved."

While Derek has no plans to launch a music career anytime soon, he says they had a lot of fun on the set.
"When we walked into our dressing room and they said this one's yours, David looked at me and was like, 'Ah, man yes,'" Carr said. "As soon as I put it on, the laughs started and that catapulted the whole day."
The double denim and sultry looks into the camera have already provided locker room relief amongst Derek's Raider teammates.
"As soon as they saw it, our offensive line put me in a group text sending pictures and talking trash," he said. "There's no shortage of jokes."
And for fans hoping to hear more of Derek's golden pipes. There are plans to release more content throughout the year.
