It happened around 7:20 pm near Highway 43 and Conejo Avenue.

California Highway Patrol officers say Martin Garcia Mendoza was riding a skateboard when he entered the intersection directly in the path of a Dodge traveling south on Highway 43.
The driver had a green light and was unable to stop, hitting Mendoza.
The 22-year old died at the scene.

The driver stayed to talk to officers and was not under the influence.
Officers are waiting for toxicology results from the skateboarder.
