Top Intel executive says flying cars are 5 years away

Flying cars may just be a few years away, according to the general manager of Intel's drone group.

Anil Nanduri, speaking with CNET, said he expects flying cars to be viable in as few as five years.

He said it's actually cheaper to have cars travel in the air than in underground tunnels.

Several companies, including Uber, said they are working to launch air taxis by 2023.
