Garza Fire near Avenal grows to 12,000 acres, 7 percent contained

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A wildfire near Avenal along the Monterey County Line is continuing to grow. Officials say it has now charred 12,000 acres.
The Garza Fire is only 7 percent contained and is burning in brush and steep terrain. At last report, no structures are threatened and no evacuations are in place at this time.
