Fresno Police arrest man who was caught jaywalking after finding he was carrying drugs

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police arrested a jaywalker in Southeast Fresno for carrying drugs.

Officers were conducting a traffic enforcement early Monday morning when they stopped 56-year-old Edward Williams. They said he was jaywalking across First Street near Tulare.

Police said Williams was on probation.

When officers searched Williams they found he was carrying packaged marijuana, meth, a drug scale, and other narcotics. He was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
