FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Brawley Avenue has reopened after a water main break flooded the road Saturday.

Temporary asphalt is in place on the southbound lanes.

The City of Fresno's Department of Public Utilities says permanent asphalt will be placed at a later date.

A water main break was the cause of the closure early morning Saturday.

Police closed off Brawley avenue near Clinton and Weldon avenues to divert traffic away from the flooding.
