FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- You only get one chance to make a first impression. Memorial High star basketball player Jalen Green made sure it was a good one.
"I just love the game. I just like being on the court. It's what I love doing," said Green.

"It makes our job a lot easier as a staff. He can do a lot of things," said Memorial head coach Brad Roznovsky. "He can play point guard, he can post up and he can really shoot the ball."
His ability was so impressive that not only did he lead Memorial to a runner-up finish in the Valley playoffs as just a freshman, but he also caught the attention of the Under-16 USA National basketball team.
Green was selected as one of the top 12 players 16 and under in the entire country and played for Team USA in the FIBA World Championships, scoring 13 points in a Gold medal win over Canada.

"It was a great moment, butterflies and everything when they put it over your neck. It was fun," said Green.
"You see him anywhere you can't really tell that he's won a Gold medal. That he has nine college offers. The humbleness that he shows an on a day to day basis. The work ethic I think is something that people don't realize he has," said Roznovsky.
