Valley Family's artistry turned into sweet business

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- Avenal native, Jose Sanchez, has always loved being in the kitchen with his family. He pursued art and worked in the financial Industry out of state and decided to make a change.

For four years now, he has been baking away at his restaurant off Ivy, outside of Downtown Hanford and winning over customers like Joanne White.

"Oh, my goodness yes our parking lot is crazy with people. Everybody loves Sweet Palette. He has been so successful here," said White.

Since works next door, she gets to sample her favorite tarts and see the business grow.

The most popular treat is the strawberry pizza.
