Homemade device designed to steal mail found at US Post Office

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Police officers are inspecting a homemade device designed to steal mail found at the U.S. Post Office on Tulare and Clovis in East Central Fresno.

Investigators tell us a man found a device with wires hanging out in one of the boxes and called the police.

Officers have not arrested anyone for the attempted theft and say they do not think that any mail was taken from the post office before the device was found.
