Just before 6 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call of a crash on Granada Drive between Riverview Drive and Sunset Avenue.
Investigators say a driver was heading south on Granada, which is a two-lane road and decided to pass the car in front of him on the right-hand side.
As the driver was coming back into the lane, he sideswiped the car he was trying to pass which sent him into oncoming traffic.
He then collided head-on with a vehicle headed north on Granada, sending that car into a tree.
Officials say one of the drivers involved in the crash had to be airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center.
The driver who caused the crash and another driver was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The condition of all three drivers is unknown. The crash remains under investigation.
