Two stabbed in Madera after basketball ball game ends in fight

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are searching for a suspect who stabbed two brothers in Madera during a basketball game Sunday afternoon.

The attack happened at the John Wells Center near Fifth and Flume Streets. Investigators said a fight broke out and the suspect pulled out a sharp object and began slashing at the two victims.

The brothers were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay. Authorities believe they have a possible suspect.

He will face an assault with a deadly weapon charge once he is brought into custody.
