Submerged truck pulled from Bear Creek in Merced was empty, officials say

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Officers in Merced say a truck pulled from Bear Creek was empty.

Multiple agencies were on scene to get the Ford out of the water near Creekside and Bear Creek Drive.

Law enforcement and firefighters found the truck fully submerged at about 9 Thursday night.

Officials discovered that no one was inside and that the truck was stolen.

Police believe it was dumped into the canal.
