One person killed, one injured, after hitting tree near Kerman

KERMAN, Calif. (KFSN) -- One driver is dead, and a female passenger is now in the hospital after a car crashed into a tree near Kerman at North and Howard.

The California Highway Patrol said they are investigating the possibility this is a DUI because of the numbers of beer cans in the car.

The CHP said it appears the people in the car were returning from a fishing trip.
