Officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim just before 6:15 a.m. on McKenzie Avenue and Effie Street.
When police arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds to his chest and neck.
He was immediately taken to the hospital where he is expected to recover.
Police say the only suspect information they have at this point is a black male on a bike.
This is no indication at this point that this shooting was gang-related.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Fresno Police Department.
