1 killed in fiery crash involving semi-truck in Fresno County, CHP says

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person is dead following a crash involving a semi-truck in Fresno County.

It happened at 5:30 am Monday on Manning Avenue east of Chateau Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol says a Toyota Tundra was going west on Manning when it crashed head-on with a semi-truck.

The semi-truck driver went off the road and ended up in a vineyard.

Officers say the Tundra flipped and caught on fire.



The driver of the Tundra was thrown from the vehicle and declared dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Officers are still investigating whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
