17-year-old shot and killed near Fresno State, police confirm

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Action News has learned that the victim in a deadly shooting near Fresno State was 17 years old.

It happened at an apartment complex near Bulldog Lane and Ninth Street Saturday night just before the Fresno State football game wrapped up.

Exclusive video obtained by Action News shows two people in black masks walk up to a door around 10:15, then turn around and head back down the stairs.

Neighbors say they heard gunfire a few doors down moments later.

Police found the teenager with multiple gunshot wounds.



The 17-year-old victim later died at Community Regional Medical Center.

Police say the shooting was not connected to the Fresno State home opener, but it did cause traffic problems as fans were leaving the football game.

No gunman information has been released.
