2 arrested for stealing golf cart and other items from Tulare County school, deputies say

OROSI, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two men are behind bars, accused of stealing a golf cart and other items from a school in Orosi.

Around 4 am Wednesday, Tulare County Sheriff's Deputies were called out to Golden Valley Elementary School.

They learned a golf cart had been stolen from the school grounds and also found some fencing had been damaged as well.

They were able to find the golf cart a few blocks away.

29-year-old Miguel Fernandez and 25-year-old Jesus Fernandez were identified as the suspects, arrested and booked on theft and vandalism charges.



Detectives then searched the suspects' home and found additional property that had been stolen from the school.

All the recovered items have since been returned to school staff.
