It happened just after 8:30 am Sunday on American near Navelencia, northeast of Reedley.

The California Highway Patrol says Reyes Jr. drove into the path of a camper van for an unknown reason.
The driver of the camper tried to brake, but the two collided.
Reyes Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the camper van was moderately injured.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.
