Monday, the president of Fresno Pacific University announced a $60 million contribution from a former FPU alum, marking the largest gift in the school's history.
The money will go toward the nursing program, track and field, and other campus projects.
The anonymous donor said in a statement that they want the gift to create opportunities for students for many years to come.
"It's a transformational gift," says president Andre Stephens. "Our students will go out and make a difference."
School officials say the gift will also help build and fund a physical associate program, which is set to launch in May of 2029.
