FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man who was hit and killed by a car in central Fresno has been identified as 68-year-old Donald Burkes.
Police were called out to Ashlan Avenue near First Street just before 1 pm Tuesday.
Authorities have not released any information about what led to the crash.
The intersection was closed for some time for cleanup efforts.
Police say the driver stayed at the scene.
