Wednesday night people from across the west coast reported seeing a strange light in the sky around 9:45-- including hundreds from here in the Valley.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Wednesday night people from across the west coast reported seeing a strange light in the sky around 9:45-- including hundreds from here in the Valley.

The National Weather Service out of Salt Lake City stated on their official twitter account that the object seen in the sky was "space junk".

Our #abc30insiders sent us videos of the object-- but the light has been reported from as far away as Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Los Angeles.

The U.S. Strategic Command said it will release any information it has on the light Thursday morning.
