FRENSO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Ampersand Ice Cream marked its 11th anniversary with a community block party that brought crowds together to celebrate local businesses and sweet treats.

The annual event took place Sunday afternoon at Echo and Weldon, where people lined up outside the popular ice cream shop for a scoop and merchandise. The celebration also featured local vendor booths and food trucks, drawing both longtime customers and newcomers to the neighborhood gathering.

Owner Jeff Bennett reflected on the milestone and the shop's growth over the past decade.

"When we first opened, we never thought the 11-year mark would come around, and it feels like just yesterday that we opened this shop here on Echo and Wledon," Bennett said.

The block party has become a tradition for the business, giving the community a chance to come together each year.

"Our annual block party always brings the whole neighborhood out and all of our regular guests out. Today, we had a line pretty much down the block all afternoon, and it's great. It's great to see everybody," Bennett said.

In addition to food and merchandise, the event featured live music, which added to the festive atmosphere.
