Authorities investigating a 'suspicious' house fire that sparked in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are calling a house fire that broke out in Central Fresno "suspicious."

It all started Saturday afternoon when flames sparked near Orchard and Weldon Avenue.

Firefighters found a detached garage engulfed in flames. Later, crews learned a man lived inside that area.

Fresno Fire reports they did not find anyone inside the home, but there is significant damage to the home.

The fire also burned a vehicle in the driveway.



The cause of the fire is not yet known.
