Farmers say they're seeing blossoms earlier this year due to warmer weather. In fact, the weather has been so warm, some growths are even appearing. In addition to the early blooms, farmers have been watching the weather closely. The recent rain has also caused some of the petals to fall off and speed up the process. So farmers say now is the time to get out on the Fresno County Blossom Trail and see the beautiful sights.
Farmer John Chandler said, "This is a time to appreciate where we live, because we can go out and see so many colors, the pink flowers, the white flowers, all mixed and matched out there. It's almost like a canvas or quilt of beautiful colors."
The blossoms season typically lasts until mid-March.
