Body found in Fresno County confirmed to be missing Coalinga mother, coroner's office says

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office has confirmed through their coroner that a body found in Fresno County is Isabel Lucas Velasco.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office has confirmed through their coroner that a body found in Fresno County over the weekend is 50-year-old Isabel Lucas Velasco.

She disappeared on September 12 and was found near Highway 198, west of Coalinga.

Her ex-boyfriend, 45-year-old Alejandro SorianoOrtiz and his brother, 40-year-old Celestino SorianoOrtiz, are currently in custody in connection to Velasco's death.

Alejandro has been charged with one count of murder and arson related to the victim's vehicle being burned. Celestino was charged as an accessory to murder and for arson.
