CALIFORNIA (KFSN) -- The Central Coast community of Carmel has officially adopted a standard street address system for the first time in over a century.
The change, which is expected to go live as soon as the first couple of weeks of July, is meant to improve emergency services.
It's also meant to simplify navigation for residents and tourists.
Meanwhile, the city's post office will remain open for residents who prefer to continue receiving their mail through a PO box.
