FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is in critical condition after flames engulfed the Central Fresno home where she was living.

Fresno Fire provided helmet camera footage showing bright flames burning and dense smoke that filled the house.

The fire broke out after 5 p.m. Sunday on Fulton and Belmont.

Police were the first to arrive at the scene.

One officer helped someone get out of the building, but did not go inside.

The officer suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, and was released.

When firefighters arrived, they went into rescue mode trying to find anyone else inside.

Firefighters pulled the 89-year-old woman out of the home and rushed her to a hospital.

Investigators are now analyzing the home and think the fire may have been intentionally set.
