FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Central Valley heating and cooling company is offering a sweet way to beat the summer heat with a new community initiative.

Lee's Air, Plumbing and Heating is launching what it calls a first-of-its-kind service: a free ice cream truck that will travel to neighborhoods, community events and popular local spots throughout Fresno.

The company says the truck will provide complimentary frozen treats as it makes scheduled stops across the area.

The truck is set to appear next Thursday night at the Boys and Girls Zimmerman Club. It will also be at Sierra Vista Mall on Friday, June 26.

Residents who want to find additional dates and locations or request a stop in their neighborhood can visit the company's website

The program is expected to continue throughout the summer.
