China Peak resort pushes back opening weekend

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Skiers and snowboarders will have to wait a little longer to hit the slopes at China Peak.

Officials with China Peak Mountain Resort say based on the latest forecast, they'll have to delay reopening until the weekend of December 11.

The goal is to make more snow next week.

Staff members say they will be able to open sooner if they see lower temperatures consistently.
