CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Clovis City Council is seeking approval to break ground on a new dispatch center.
The new dispatch center will be located on Encino Avenue, next to Clovis Fire Station 6 in the Loma Vista Area.
There has been a layout and sketches for the proposed development as the city waits for an estimate on the project.
The city's planning commission document presented a 4,113-square-foot center, including office space for dozens of dispatchers, a new break room, and an updated training room.
The city says the new dispatch center will accommodate existing and future growth, providing adequate safety services for the community.
