Organizers say this year's event will feature new elements and a retired New York City firefighter will return to the Valley to serve as the guest speaker.
The ceremony is intended to honor the victims of the attacks and reflect on the promise to "never forget" and what that commitment means to the Valley community.
The California 9/11 Memorial Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Parking will begin at 7:45 a.m.
Those unable to attend in person can watch a livestream of the event on the ABC30 News app and other Action News streaming platforms.
Community members can also participate in the 9/11 Run to Remember on Saturday. Opening ceremonies for the run will begin at 6:45 a.m. at the California 9/11 Memorial.
